Quality Of Your Current Epilepsy Treatment

Who is involved in your epilepsy treatment?

Your healthcare team will certainly include your family Neurologist or primary care clinic. It may also include a neurologist or other clinical specialist, nurses, your pharmacist, and specialists in other fields such as vocational rehabilitation or occupational therapy.

You are the most important member of the team. You can help the other members by:

Giving them accurate information about your condition so that they can work with you to develop a treatment plan to meet your needs.

Following your epilepsy treatment plan
Keeping your appointments with your healthcare team
Communicating openly with your healthcare team

Are you satisfied with your current treatment?

Does your current antiepileptic drug(s) provide enough seizure control?

Does your current antiepileptic drug(s) have little or no side effects?
